Tuesday, Oct. 9th

Assignments: Students are continuing to make their 6 animation frames for our first online gallery exhibition. Animations are due on the 25th for B day students and the 24th for A day students. We will start off by talking about the difference between "anime" and "manga" or, the difference between animation and comic books. The difference being in the amount of "time" that passes between "frames". Students not working on animation frames will then be given a photocopied page with 5 frames and/or comic book panels For students who are finished, We will be reading a poem by Pablo Neruda on the subject of youth. On the back of the handout, they will be asked to describe youth and respond to the poem. Select students will be asked to read from their responses. on the photocopied piece of paper (5 frames) students will be asked to write and draw about 4-5 aspects of youth and in full color. On the second a/b day of the week, we will read another poem with a different theme. Students will either be working on their animations or responding to the work presented.
